Job Description
Essential Functions/Duties:

Participates in the development and implementation of plans and/or programs to ensure the most effective utilization of human resources to support Plant objectives, within the framework of the organization's overall corporate policies, plans, and programs. It requires generalized knowledge and involvement in all specialized areas. The emphasis is on adaptation and implementation of broader organization policies. Responsible for the human resources function for the facility, including employment, labor/union relations, employee relations, safety administration, training, affirmative action, compensation and benefit administration, community involvement and employee involvement programs. Responsible for leading the facility's efforts to implement the employee involvement process and championing the change process. Supports the implementation of world-class manufacturing.

REQUIRED knowledge/skills/abilities and other minimum qualifications:

* B.S/ BA degree in Business Administration, Human Resource Management, or equivalent field required. Must be PC computer literate.

* Requires 4 to 6 years of diversified experience in all phases of Human Resource Management involving employment, labor/union relations, employee relations, safety, training, comp and benefits administration

* Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills; proven ability to develop relationships and establish credibility; ability to perform effectively in a team environment and work well with and through others

* Ability to function as a business partner and facilitate change.

Additional Qualifications

* Proven ability to thrive in a fast paced environment; handle multiple tasks; prioritize responsibilities; and handle high pressure situations
* Strong self starter and ability to work independently and with little supervision
* Experience as a change agent coupled with experience implementing lean manufacturing operating systems.
